I. System Overview
Due to the nature of hotel and lodging operations, hotels and inns mainly provide accommodation, dining, entertainment, leisure, and other services for guests. The flow of people entering and leaving is relatively complex, and most guests are from other places. Criminals may take advantage of this environment to enter hotels and inns and look for opportunities to commit crimes, directly affecting the personal safety and property security of guests, as well as the reputation of the hotel or inn.
Establishing a security protection system that combines video surveillance, alarm, and communication is an effective security measure. A surveillance system can respond quickly to intruders and help detect and capture criminals in time. It also has a strong deterrent effect on criminals.
Hotel Security Surveillance Design Solution
At the current stage, most digital video surveillance hosts used in the security industry are DVRs, or digital video recorders. These are generally built on an industrial computer platform, with video capture cards and other boards installed.
Because industrial computers often need to withstand harsh working environments such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, vibration, electromagnetic interference, and dust, the industrial control industry itself has high requirements for product stability and reliability. It also places high requirements on the components used in manufacturing such products.
II. System Design
The system is mainly networked around monitoring, recording, and playback. The solution is as follows:
A. Video Signal Transmission
The video signal from each camera on each floor is transmitted to the digital hard disk video recorder through dedicated video cables.
B. Digital Hard Disk Video Recorder
The digital hard disk video recorder can be divided into 4-channel, 8-channel, 16-channel, and 24-channel models, with video input and 16 alarm inputs. The specific configuration can be selected according to the project requirements.
In the system, the digital hard disk video recorder can be used for monitoring, control, recording, and storage. Hotel management can also install the corresponding surveillance software on computers in their offices. By logging into the fixed IP address of each digital hard disk recorder in the duty room, they can remotely monitor and control the front-end cameras.
C. Display System
The display section mainly uses color or black-and-white monitors to display front-end images. The monitor can use a flat right-angle VGA display.
In principle, VGA signals are clearer than BNC composite video signals. This is because the red, green, and blue primary color signals, as well as horizontal synchronization and vertical synchronization signals, are output separately without being mixed, making the image more detailed and clearer.
However, traditional monitors have advantages in image brightness, contrast, and color saturation. The signal can also be converted to a monitor through a converter.
D. Network Connection
For network connection, the hotel’s internal LAN or the Internet can be used to achieve remote monitoring and control of the front-end equipment.
Core System Technologies
1. Core Processing Host
The entire system uses the JSA-CCTV digital video recording surveillance system host as the core processing unit.
2. Unique Dual Display Output Ports
The system supports both multi-screen split display and single-screen display. Any image from the multi-screen display can be switched to the single-screen monitor. Alarm images and motion detection images can also automatically switch to the single-screen monitor.
The system can realize all functions such as video playback and PTZ control. Without the need to configure a video matrix host, it can achieve the main functions of a matrix host, and even provide stronger functions such as video playback.
This allows the system configuration to be optimized, the cost to be reduced to the lowest possible level, and the functions to remain complete.
3. Complete Network Functions
Unique Multi-IP Network Access
The system can connect to multiple JSA-CCTV digital hard disk hosts at the same time. In the multi-screen live monitoring view, each image can come from a camera connected to a different host.
This allows important and secondary images to be flexibly combined for monitoring, making priorities clear. Because H.264 video compression technology is used, which currently occupies very low network bandwidth, live image transmission and PTZ control are more flexible and faster.
Unique Fast Search Function
There is no need to enter keywords or a time range. Recorded video files can be found in less than 0.5 seconds.
There is no need to download video files in advance. Users can directly play back recorded footage from the remote WANDEOR host online. Playback can be dragged freely to a specific time period, and 16 channels can be played back simultaneously on the same screen.
This makes it convenient to track suspicious persons as they move through different camera areas. The system also supports single-frame forward and backward playback, making it easier to capture images of suspicious persons from different angles for printing and identification.
Partial Download of Recorded Files for Evidence Collection
During online playback, if a suspicious segment is found, video clips from one or multiple cameras within a specific time period can be downloaded to a computer or uploaded to relevant departments.
This ensures that the downloaded and saved video clips are useful and effective. It saves a large amount of video download time and improves work efficiency.
4. Hard Disk Management
Because H.264 video compression technology is used, the system ensures good video quality while providing longer recording time and minimal hard disk space usage. This can reduce hard disk cost to the greatest extent.
5. Multi-Tasking Capability
The JSA-CCTV digital hard disk video recorder is based on an embedded system and has strong multi-task processing capability. It can support simultaneous operation by local users and network users.
It can achieve concurrent multi-task processing, including local display, recording, local video playback, local video backup, network live monitoring, network video playback, and network video data download.
